Working Hours
Seasonal shift patterns from September to May, with refresher training each August. Typical shifts run Monday to Sunday on either a 4-day or 5-day basis, 07:00-17:45 or 07:00-18:15 depending on rota.
The Role
We are seeking a motivated Aircraft Technician to join an established maintenance operation. You will be involved in both scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, ensuring the highest safety and quality standards while supporting customer requirements. Working closely with B1 Engineers, you will assist in supervising and mentoring colleagues, ensuring compliance with Part 145 regulations, internal processes and customer service agreements.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out aircraft maintenance tasks in line with customer requirements and approved documentation
Work in accordance with company procedures, following Human Factors principles, and using only calibrated, approved tools and equipment
Support Engineers by mentoring colleagues and delegating tasks when required
Ensure all paperwork and maintenance records are completed accurately and on time
Report any issues affecting safety, productivity or progression of work to Engineers
Correctly process, return or dispose of unused material and components, following procedures
Ensure correct storage, blanking, labelling and protection of aircraft components and tooling
Maintain workplace cleanliness and implement FOD prevention measures
Recommend improvements to processes, safety, efficiency and productivity
Assist with hangar upkeep and facility maintenance when required
Undertake additional tasks and duties as required by the business
Essential Requirements
Minimum 3 years' aircraft maintenance experience within a Part 145 organisation (apprenticeship or equivalent training included)
Experience using recognised aircraft documentation (AMMs, Service Bulletins, ADs)
Broad skillset across aircraft systems, including rigging, component replacement and modification embodiment
Good understanding of aircraft systems and structural repair practices
Completed apprenticeship (or equivalent) in aviation or mechanical engineering
Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above, including Maths and English
Human Factors, EWIS and Fuel Tank Safety training
Skills and Attributes
Effective communication, both written and verbal

Integrity and professionalism in all tasks
Adaptable, flexible and resilient under pressure
Team player with the ability to build positive working relationships
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
